The children of the sex workers could live in the society with respect and dignity similar to those of the children of mainstream society. There will be no discrimination among the children.

About Us
Amra Padatik, an organisation of the children of sex workers in West Bengal, works for the rights and development of the children of sex workers. It is the only organization by and for the children of sex workers. The objective of Amra Padatik is to fight against all kinds of violence meted out to the children of sex workers and to bring about a change in the attitude of the mainstream society towards sex workers’ children and to mobilize their opinion in changing the act.

Create and claim a world free of stigma and discrimination for all marginalized children and youth, particularly children of sex workers, such that they can live a life to their full potential, with dignity, equality in opportunity and support and care to overcome their social disadvantage.

Our service is dedicated to actively addressing and countering societal issues such as child marriage, dowry traditions, child labor, exploitation, and gender-based violence (GBV). Through collaborative initiatives and education-focused programs, we aim to empower communities, promote awareness, and foster positive societal change towards a more inclusive and equitable environment for all individuals.
